The Sky-Rain is a large number of catastrophes in a short timespan that majorly reduced the human population. Humans escaped extinction by, among other things, genetically modifying their genome. Rogue researchers also created Minddrinkers and Fleyers under the guise of solving Sky-Rain problems.
